Choose a mixing style:

  1. High fidelity: modern clarity, high frequency range and dynamics

  2. Vintage: vintage clarity, tape delays and chamber verbs, tonal character, re-amping

  3. Lo-fi Tape: analog distortion, vinyl and tape emulation, grungy character

  4. Custom: mix high fidelity, vintage sound, and/or lo-fi elements to fit your vision

Mixing includes:

  • Free virtual listening session(s), to come up with a game plan for your track or project, overview of your reference mixes and inspiration

  • Adjusting track balance to enhance the focal points, vibe, authenticity, and clarity. Rhythmic feel, punch and overall drum improvement. Effect automation, vocal riding and processing. Enhancement of vocal character, tone, harmonics, and more…

  • Three free mix revisions

  • Final mix delivery includes high res 96khz 24bit WAV files, 48k/16bit MP3, Instrumental mix, and a TV Track/Performance Mix (Instrumental with chorus and background vocals)

And more creative mixing decisions, if requested:

  • Adding sound effects or production elements, crafting an album narrative through sound design, song transitions, and pre-mastering sessions to ensure cohesiveness of project

  • Re-amping vocals and instruments in a live chamber room, catching real reverb to enhance spacial qualities

Phyllis Studio:

16 mic inputs for band recording, analog rack gear, a wide variety of plugins, and three reference monitoring systems for highest quality mix and mastering translation. A variety of unique, high quality microphones for use in recording, production, re-amping, overdubs, and sound design; electric guitars, acoustic and classical guitars, analog synth, full drum set, sound effects, congas, shakers and other percussion instruments. DAWs include UAD Luna (mixing, mastering, and recording) and Reason Studios (music production).

Located in Philadelphia, PA, with an isolated control room and a large live room for band recordings, as well as reverb chambers for instrument and vocal re-amping. Vocal recording is available at an hourly rate of 60 per hour. Band recording is available for 100 per hour or 600 for an 8-hour day. Contact for music production rates.

  • Mixing: 300 per track, lower rates for album mixing

  • Mastering: 80 per track, lower rates for album mastering

  • Music Production: rates fluctuate depending on specific track or project

  • Vocal Recording: 60 per hour

  • 16 Track Band Recording: 100 per hour, 600 for an 8-hour day

  • Rates are adjustable - willing to work on an hourly rate, fixed rate, or custom to fit your budget

  • Deposit due for any work ordered; Rates subject to change
