Based in North London, River Child is a solo singer-songwriter who specializes in classy, soulful indie/folk. With an off kilter, rare and distinctive voice, RiverChild has performed live on the channel London Live and received warm support from BBC Introducing, R2 Mag, Shindig Magazine, For Folk’s Sake and Amazing Radio. He is going onto play non-stop shows in 2019 including a monthly residency at The Hawley Arms in Camden, Camden Rocks festival, PennFest, Sofar Sounds and more.

Shindig Magazine – “A storyteller in the great folk tradition, tales of heartbreak and longing and the loneliness of the big sky. RiverChild’s voice is rare and distinctive, owing as much to the early millenium indie scene as to the country greats, filled with emotion and belief in every word. The guitar parts are melodic and unfussy, alternating between finger picking and gentle strumming that add real atmosphere to the songs as do the occasional blasts of harmonica.“

BBC Introducing – “He’s fantastic, we like this a lot.”
