DISCLAIMER: we NOT anthropomorphizING DOLPHINS

WHO IS SOUL DOLPHIN:

Through many incarnations, spanning the entire cosmos of infinite dimensionality, this group of dolphins is a collective of 4D entities existing beyond our current understandings of space/time. Scientific research implies the dolphin paradox, whereas this collective may exist not only within the oceans of this space/time, but also in the 6th and 7th dimensions. With the experience of time being an illusion, all harmonic octaves of reality are overlayed and exist simultaneously. In short, soul dolphin is a band that has made/is making/will make music.
In this current timeline of planet Earth, entities include those by the name of Greg Wilson on drums, Sam Lev on rhythm guitar and vocals, Geoff Vanover on bass, and AJ Herrmann on guitar. Based out of Philadelphia, PA.
Influences: MGMT, Arthur Verocai, Flying Lotus, Sérgio Mendes, J Dilla, The Beatles, Novos Baianos, Babe Rainbow, King Gizzard, Yussef Dayes, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Tim Maia, Lance Skiiiwalker, Derek Ali, Flanafi, Vinyl Williams, Jon Hopkins

QUOTES FROM PEOPLE:

Bob Lugowe, Associate Director at SONY: “Sounds a bit like Kurt Vile on codeine… I dig the band name and album artwork too.”
Divide and Conquer writes: “A big part of that comes from their concept of percussion. It's like they're 3D printing the tune right into your ear canal… Typically albums in this ballpark like to keep it light and fluffy. This album is anything but light and fluffy. Each track has weight and gravitas to it. Yes you're going on a journey, but your feet are rooted into the ground.”
A&R Factory writes: “Ever heard a Psychedelic Alt Rock track so transient that it’s bordering on ethereal? … Just what kind of alchemy they weaved into the production I will never know, yet the lucid layers of the track are enough to induce you into a pure state of catharsis.“
Roadie Music writes: “It's impossible not to travel beyond this plane, when you press play on any song (which even leads me to believe in the real existence of the [alien] abduction episode). That said, between 2019 to 2020, the best album ever developed by them would be in production. Released on August 5th, 2021, Founders of The Modern World is an absurd combination of creativity and intuition, a mixture of psychedelic journey, where the concern for perfection is not part of the script… Soul Dolphin is perfect for those who want to feel the ocean currents of waves and sound frequencies, shaking you down the river, and lifting your spirit for a cosmic journey never felt before.”
Rock n’ Bold writes: “Overall, the quartet's fourth studio album is one of the best things released on the underground scene in 2021, especially if the listener is familiar with sounds and styles that plunge into the waters of the psychedelic. Founders of the Modern World not only deserves its play, but also its place on the top shelf as one of the best produced and created albums of the year.”
The Deli Magazine Philadelphia writes: “Tranquilizing reverberations dissipate along an experimental tract. Combining that measured, melodic, meditative state with more aggressive, deep-tunneling grooves, there’s an isolated eye on the future landscape. It's a head trip that doesn't venture too far from home, exploring another wrinkle within the mind.”
